Transfer from Another School

Would you like to join us at Cambridge Schools?

It is simple for you to transfer to an English course at our school if you are already in the United States on an F-1 student visa. Follow these steps to complete your transfer to Cambridge Schools:

(1) Consult the Cambridge Schools schedule of classes

Look at the Cambridge Schools schedule of classes. New classes (or terms) begin at Cambridge Schools every Monday. You must plan to attend the earliest class we offer after discontinuing your studies at your former school.

(2) Send Cambridge Schools the necessary documents

There are the necessary documents for Cambridge Schools to complete your transfer. We require:

* A photocopy of your I-94 (the white card in your passport) and your visa page
* The i-20 form from your previous (or current) school
* The Cambridge Schools transfer status form signed by your current school. For a copy of the Cambridge Schools transfer status form, click here. This is the form you should give to the office of your current school.
* One small photo. You can send us a photo of yourself, or we can take a picture of you at the school.
* A photocopy of your recent financial documents. Your financial documents are the papers that prove your have enough money to live and study in the United States.

If you think you would like to study:

3 months or less, you need to show the equivalent of at least $7,000;
3 to 6 months, you need to show at least $12,000;
6 months to 1 year, you need to show at least $23,000.

Documents must be less than two months old.

(3) Submit payment

When you transfer to Cambridge Schools, you will need to pay the registration fee and the tuition for the first four weeks of class (1 term):  As a student with an F-1 visa, it is not necessary to pay the tuition for more than one session (one 4-week term) at a time.

(4) Visit Cambridge Schools at least 10 days before your starting date

This visit is important for at least two reasons: 1. If you haven?t already brought any of the documents or paid your registration fee and tuition, this is the opportunity to do so and complete your transfer. 2. You must take your placement test and have a short interview to determine your level of English.
